Large Singapore based Asian FI: Wealth Capabilities Roadmap to support a more client centric and cost effective operating model as a foundation for ambitious growth agenda – doubling revenues by 2023.
Leading Canadian financial institution: a strategic review of cost reduction opportunities across domestic and international wealth and asset management operations to identify areas of alignment and restructuring opportunities.
North American wealth manager: supported the transformation of its enterprise wealth planning group by setting up a managed services contract to conduct quality reviews.
Large Canadian bank: designed operational processes and people capabilities to enable end-to-end delivery of retail wealth solutions via the bank’s direct channel.
For an Australian wealth manager: led a comprehensive organizational efficiency review and analysis to present ways of de-layering its FTE to generate cost savings of approximately 15% of its existing cost base.
For Australia’s largest superannuation administrator: conducted a comprehensive structural, operations and technology review to determine strategies for achieving significant client and asset growth.
Digital for wealth management
Large Canadian wealth manager: digital advice strategy and design, facilitating leaders to choose a robo-advice partner; business model analysis, client experience design, financial model estimates and implementation roadmap.
Large North American wealth manager: supported a digital transformation of its advisor and client experience including analysis and re-design of client contact management, client onboarding and reporting functionality.
Canadian wealth organization: led a strategic review of digital wealth options: involved comparing best practices and fintech landscape to existing capabilities to identify a strategic roadmap for becoming a leading digital wealth provider.
Advisor productivity
Large Canadian brokerage: determined their Branch of the Future, an ambitious productivity program to improve sales capability, client engagement, organizational effectiveness and overall competitiveness supported by a new platform.
Canadian investment counsel business: front office roles and organization structure to enhance sales productivity; a global peer review, future state design options as well as a new compensation plan for relationship managers.
One of Canada’s largest wealth managers: conducted a client experience diagnosis and design through executive workshops and synthesis of customer research, focusing on the meaning of advice and value of a multi-channel model.
Private banking
Top North American Private Bank: Design of end-to-end Ultra High Net Worth relationship model, including advanced CRM and digital engagement capabilities and investment case.
Leading Australian Private Bank: created a new advisor model assessing competitive gaps vs best practices; diagnosis and analysis of org structure; identification of efficiency areas and redesign of streamlined roles.
Technology and platforms
Large Canadian wealth manager: assessed future state requirements for greater efficiency and competitiveness of its combined brokerage and private wealth businesses. Included analysis of business architecture and underlying platform functionality, prioritization and business case creation. In addition, a 90 day action plan supported immediate mobilization of stakeholders and project teams.
Canadian boutique wealth manager: worked with board members and senior executives to assess options for enhancing the private investment counsel’s platform evolution. Included assessing viability of outsourcing versus in-house build out to determine appropriate achievement of target state operating model functionality.
Finance and regulatory
Multi-client: for majority of wealth managers in Canada, conducted a series of dedicated information seminars with external insights related to potential CRM 2 implications. Culminated in a launch of a microsite describing ongoing regulatory dialogue and implications for future evolution of the industry.
Canadian operations of a large global financial institution, supported the assessment of client risk tolerance through modeling of client sensitivity, external benchmarking and engagement with regulators. Extended the work to include translation of the project’s conclusions for the digital advice channel.
